Phil's Birthday Cupcakes

A last minute batch of cupcakes for Phillip's birthday.
Vanilla and dark chocolate cupcakes topped with bettercreme and teddy bear fondants. =)

Lamborgini Murcielago and Disney Princess

I received a special request from a friend of a friend last week.
A lamborgini murcielago cake.

So I started off with sculpting and shaping the cake.
It was quite tricky because the length of the cake was shorter that I have expected.
So anyway, after sculpting it I iced it with chocolate ganache.

After that, I covered the car with fondant.
I wanted to dust it with gold dust to give it the shimmery effect.
Unfortunately, I bought the gold dust and left it at the store! =(

Cut off the windows.
Later on you will view the finished product =)

At the same time, the cousin of the birthday boy was celebrating her 7th birthday as well.
And she requested for a disney princess cake.
This is the cake without the figurines and pillars.

I went earlier to the party for table set up.
Both cakes next to each other.

Lorraine's Pink Fairytale Birthday

From Florida to her daughter Lorraine.
The whole thing starts off with layering her american chocolate cake with fresh strawberries.
2 layers of strawberries with dark chocolate ganache.
Sandwiched.

The covering of the cake with generous amount of dark chocolate ganache.

Her dark chocolate with peanut butter ganache cupcakes.
Topped with of course, fresh strawberries,
which are carefully coated with a generous amount of piping jelly.

After all that is done, it was time to decorate the cake,
cupcakes and her cupcake stand.

Lorraine's 17th birthday cake.

The finished product, before the cupcake stand pillars were decorated though.

TADA!
Everything done, and properly set-up at the place of party,
with cute little candles that Florida personally purchased.

Its time for me to take a break for my trip.
Coming back soon for more goodies!
Stay tuneeddddd!!

Lots of love.

Elmo cupcakes!

Baby cupcakes for Little Amber's 1st month!

I had a lot of fun baking with Ronald for the past 2 days.
We've been doing nothing but baking baking baking.
Now that all the baking is done, its time for me to tend to my assignments.

These are 180 pieces of cupcakes,
dark chocolate, peanut butter and french vanilla.
Just incase some of you might be wondering what is the difference with vanilla cupcakes and french vanilla?
Well, the difference is that french vanilla cupcakes are baked with vanilla pods.

My house smells like a bakery.

Buttons, baby milk bottles for dark chocolate and peanut butter,
and french vanilla are topped with bettercream and Australian Fairy Sprinkles.

The dark chocolate is frosted with dark chocolate ganache and then topped with snow ice fondant.
Same goes to the peanut butter one except its replaced with peanut butter ganache.
Its not overpowering, you can taste the nutty creamy flavors.

The cupcake trays.
A whole bunch of em.
Before I put the red eggs in.

Had so much fun baking.
We manage to get Celus to snap a few photos.
Thats me and Ronald.

This is where it all happens.

Made with lots of love fresh from the kitchen!

Now the red eggs are in.
Tada!
Finished product.

To finish it all,
I custom designed the sticker for Amy.
It's a good thing I'm in design.
=)
The theme is cherry blossom.

I've got great news guys.
You will all be given a chance to chose the next blog layout for this blog.
It will be going under renovation soon.
However, if you prefer the old design (this particular one),
do not hesitate to let me know.

I have 2 wedding cakes coming up next month.
Stay tuned for it!

Grandma's Gambling Cake

So everyone was telling me 2 weeks before grandma's birthday
'Can u make grandma's cake??'
'can u make grandma's cake extra special?'
'can u add coffee to grandma's cake?'
'can u add grandma's chinese playing cards?'
'can u add prosperity peaches?'
'what about customizing her a cupcake booth?'

CUPCAKE BOOTH??
no, I went for the cupcake stand instead.

Final product!

Alden munching on the cuppies even before the birthday song was sang.

Cupcakes for grandma's birthday.
First one from top.
American chocolate with peanut butter ganache, topped with smooth peanut butter cream and chocolate scrapes.
Second one
Vanilla cupcakes with yam and coconut.
Last one
French vanilla rose cupcakes.

Grandma's final cake.
If you noticed, the entire cake is actually a small coffee table.
I added her chinese playing cards,
prosperity peaches,
a cup of coffee made from cupcakes,
her favorite cookie made from fondant sitting at the side,
a fondant table doyley
(the piece of white cloth which I created using hand because I lost my pattern stamp)
and her finger sponge.

Close view.
The chinese cards were handpainted.
Took me painstakingly 2 hours!
notice the tiny chinese characters in the middle?
those took quite some time to get it right.

from here u can see the white doyley,
the patterns are created by me using suprisingly, tooth pick.
took the hard way out because I couldn't find my pattern stamp!

the cupcake stand I handmade.
Those who wants to buy cupcake stands, please place your orders 2 months before.

Karmen's Anna Sui Themed Cake

I made this cake especially for Karmen for her 18th birthday.
The lower tier is american chocolate.
The 2nd tier is vanilla and chocolate sponge.
Cake is covered with fondant roses as well as royal icing as
the lace that took me painstakingly 1 hour to draw.

Happy faces.

Birthday girl in the middle.

I personally customized the cupcake cups for her.
First tier is French Vanilla Rose cupcake.

I'm sorry to those whom I couldn't take your orders anymore for the past few weeks.
My schedule was completely packed with uni assignments, work and orders.
I couldn't possibly take more order because I usually spend an average time of 3-5 hours per cake.
Otherwise you can let me know few weeks earlier so I can do more research and arrange my schedule to fit your order.
Thank you.
